Ideal for precise soldering applications

NMD Metal Powders brings over 25 years of expertise to the development and supply of specialised solder powders specifically optimised for precision industrial soldering processes. Our solder powders are ideal for applications requiring the highest accuracy and reliability in both soft soldering and brazing.

Hard soldering with powder (temperature ~590°C)

AlSi7, AlSi10 and AlSi12 as well as aluminium and various aluminium alloys with stainless steel (CrNi steels) are mainly used for brazing.

The solder powders we supply are characterised by a very low oxygen content and a consistently narrow grain distribution, which is a prerequisite for a stable soldering process.

Soft soldering with powder (temperature ~ 250°C)

These SnAgCu-containing solders are the replacement for the lead-containing solders used in the past. A typical representative is e.g. Sn96, 5Ag3Cu0, 5 (SAC305) with grain sizes < 45µm or < 25µm.

The most important area of application for these solders is SMT (Surface Mounting Technology) in the electronics industry. Our solder powder is ideally spherical with a very narrow grain distribution and a very low oxygen content.

Our range includes a variety of powder materials for different soldering processes:

Typically used for soft and hard soldering applications with materials such as Sn96.5Ag3.5 or SAC305 in paste form for precise application.

Ideal for fine, detailed soldering work. Frequently used materials are fine SnAgCu alloys such as SAC305.

For more robust, industrial applications, often with high-melting-point solder powders such as AlSi alloys for brazing processes.

Used for mass production, typically with resistant materials such as AlSi10 and AlSi12 as well as SnAgCu alloys for consistent and reliable results.

Used for special applications where no flux is used and the connection must be made quickly. Frequently used materials are pure tin alloys such as SnCu.

Industrial soldering offers great potential in the production of components that place high demands on precision and material properties. Our specialised soldering powders make it possible to realise even complex and demanding production tasks efficiently and reliably. By selecting specific soldering powders for hard and soft soldering processes, you can significantly improve the quality and performance of your products.

Avoid bad purchases and bad metal powders

The consequences of incorrect purchases or the use of inferior soldering powder can be considerable. Therefore, professional procurement of high-quality soldering powder by experts such as NMD is essential to ensure optimal production processes and cost savings.

With NMD Metal Powders, you don't just get powder, but a customised solution that increases your production efficiency and delivers reliable results. Rely on our expertise to select the best possible materials for your projects.
